Position: Senior Legal Cashier
Location: Kenilworth (Warwickshire)
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Up to £25,000 (Depending on Experience)

Outline

Our client, a long established and respected general practice private client law firm providing high-quality legal services to clients across Coventry and Warwickshire, is seeking to employ a senior legal cashier to be based at their office in Kenilworth. Previous experience of working within a legal accounting environment and a sound knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules is considered essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring incoming funds and informing Fee Earners accordingly
  • Process CHAPS and BACS payments
  • Assist with maintaining the Purchase Ledger
  • Posting client & office receipts for all offices
  • Completing paying-in slips and doing the daily banking
  • Handling and recording cash receipts from clients
  • Processing and posting card receipts in person and on the phone
  • Printing and sending out client & office cheques
  • Checking and posting invoices to the Accounts System and printing bills
  • Sending invoice reminders and statements to clients
  • Processing client to office transfers
  • Undertaking Client and Office bank reconciliations
  • Credit Control
  • Reconciling the HMLR Credit Account
  • Performing general client account interest calculations
  • Maintaining the register of undertakings
  • Carrying out the accounts department filing on a timely basis
